Info on Quidditch
ABOUT
Quidditch is the sprot of the wizarding world, most of the schools have their own team and there are over 40 international teams. There are seven players on each team who fly around on broom sticks and play with charmed balls, to find out more read below.
RULES:
*scoring points
-Each goal scored by Chasers is 10 points. A goal is scored when the quaffle goes through one of the four goal posts at either ends of a field. The field is called a Quidditch Pitch.
-Catching the Snitch is 150 points.
*game time
-The game is started when the balls are released
-The game is over when the Snitch is caught.
-No Time Limit(the record Wood said was 4 months)
BALLS:
Quaffle
Large and red, about the size of a Soccer ball, used to score goals. (Worth 10 Points)
Bludger
Two in a game, black. Slightly smaller than a Quaffle, fly around trying to knock players off brooms.
Snitch
Most important Ball in the game. Tiny, gold, the size of a golf ball with wings, very fast, and hard to catch.
PLAYERS:
There are seven players on each team.
Chaser
Throw the Quaffle to each other trying to score goals. Three on each team.
Keeper
Kind of like a Soccer goalie. Guards the three goal posts.
Beater
Two beaters uses a baseball bat type thing to knock the bludgers at the other team's members.
Seeker
Flys around trying to catch the golden Snitch. Considered the most important player.
